A Dog’s Life

I should begin by telling you that I was not born a dog person. In fact, I was bitten by a German Shepard, right in the tush, as a child which really solidified my hesitancy for dogs. My best friend at the time, Elizabeth, had two dogs and as I walked to her house, I hoped to survive the visit unscathed. The scariest part was walking into her house greeted by a Rottweiler and Doberman pincher. The dogs sensed my scaredy cat self and would give me a look like “you look like dinner!”.

So people who knew me way back when, would be surprised to know that I have owned dogs in my adult life. The current situation is that I have two fluffy golden retrievers. One is loyal to me in a way I cannot believe or explain. He will follow me around like he is a little duck and I am the mama duck. He is loving, sweet, gentle and thinks everyone will love him too. The other pup is Miss Independent, ready to guard the house from the UPS delivery man to the rouge squirrel in the front yard. She has become more lovable the older she gets, but she is much more of a fierce protector first.

From time to time I will share their pictures and adventures. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
